Position Summary

This position supports, guides, and provides business enabling tools to the Global Sales organization. The Sales Analytics analyst will conduct robust deep dive analyses and reporting which will allow Global Sales to better understand their respective markets while reducing our distribution costs. We are looking for data curious candidates that seek to understand process and can connect with our business partners to leverage data and drive improvement. They should also be able to take a project from end-to-end: gathering business requirements, working with all contributors to the project, and delivering results to the stakeholder without much oversight from a supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect data and analyze effectiveness and return on investment from all sales channels. Wrangling large datasets using Python, SQL, etc. to identify opportunities and understand performance
• Run and distribute monthly reports to support and track sales activities. The ideal candidate will seek opportunities to improve automation of reports and analyses to support leadership and teams in a timely manner
• Create dashboards to give Senior Management a concise and clear view of all sales activities on a regular basis
• Work with Global Sales and Alliances teams to gather relevant data
• Recommend initiatives to reduce the cost of sale and implement those initiatives as needed
• Lead analysis to support Sales projects and present analytics findings to leaders
• Build complex and robust models to analyze Sales data and make recommendations to Senior Management
• Focus on constantly improving the quality of the data used in Sales Analytics (internal and external data)
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (advanced quantitative or business degree a plus) or an equivalent combination of education and related working experience
• 2+ years of work experience in business planning, quantitative analytics, pricing revenue management, finance, sales, marketing, or related work experience
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in writing complex Snowflake SQL queries or other programming / coding language, and experience with Tableau, or similar software
• Strong analytical skills including aptitude for problem solving and constructing logical analytical arguments
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including written and verbal communication
• Comfortable with handling sensitive information, applying sound judgment of what can and cannot be shared internally and externally
• Ability to develop dashboards/PowerPoint presentations and present in front of large audiences
• Ability to work effectively with multiple projects in a fast-changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Business, International Relations, Finance, or related field
• Advanced level ability to manage a reporting database environment, troubleshoot, and automate reporting within Python/SQL/Snowflake
• Previous airline experience (partnerships, pricing revenue management, network, finance, marketing, sales)
• Understanding of relational database architecture and the ability to merge large data sets from disparate sources
• Airline reservations or global distribution system knowledge (Amadeus preferred)
• Familiarity with the travel environment in the Asia-Pacific-North America region with an understanding of customer and distribution capabilities
• Experience in a multicultural cross-functional environment
